The Japanese Doctor Who Changed Lung Cancer Care D The Japanese Doctor Who Changed Lung Cancer Care Dr. Kazuhiro Yasufuku is a world-renowned thoracic surgeon who led the development of EBUS-TBNA, a technology that transformed lung cancer diagnosis and is now used in more than 3,000 medical institutions worldwide. Today, he leads Thoracic Surgery at Toronto General Hospital, UHN, while also serving as a professor and Chair at the University of Toronto. The U.S. has now imposed 50% tariffs on about US$20 billion worth of Canadian goods, taking effect just after midnight on Aug. 22.
