15th Toronto Japanese Film Festival Opens June 11 15th Toronto Japanese Film Festival Opens June 11 at JCCC. Tickets Go on Sale May 13 June 11–26 | Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre The 15th Toronto Japanese Film Festival will be held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre from June 11 to 26, bringing together 24 films including several North American premieres. The festival lineup offers a wide-ranging look into contemporary Japan through stories that capture emotion, culture, and the complexities of modern society. Opening the festival is Yoji Yamada’s TOKYO TAXI, alongside notable works such as TOKYO STRAYERS by Ren Akiba and ONE LAST LOVE LETTER by Yuya Ishii. Audience favorites including FIRST KISS and NIGHT FLOWER will also be screened, while visually celebrated films such as 5 CENTIMETERS PER SECOND and KOKUHO add further depth to this year’s program. With its combination of acclaimed directors, emerging voices, and emotionally resonant storytelling, the festival once again promises one of North America’s most significant showcases of Japanese cinema.
